Celebrate Christmas Eve with Joey C.’s take on the traditional Italian-American “Feast of the Seven Fishes.” 

The Feast stems from the Catholic practice of abstaining from meat on Christmas Eve as an act of penance and preparation for the holy day. Seafood became the centerpiece of the meal, reflecting the abundance of coastal Italy’s ingredients. The number seven often symbolizes biblical perfection and completion (e.g., the seven days of creation), though some families serve more or fewer dishes. 

The Feast is about much more than food—it’s a celebration of community, tradition, and gratitude. Families gather around the table for hours, enjoying each dish while sharing stories and creating memories. This event is a heartfelt nod to the Italian-American holiday table—a perfect way to celebrate the season with friends and loved ones.
